The biggest film event of the European outdoor community kicks off tomorrow. Two hours jam-packed full of everything an outdoor fan’s heart desires.
Whether free skiing on the Lofoten Islands, a kayak expedition on the Lukuga River in the heart of the Congo or an 80-day expedition on skis through the Arctic ice desert – the film line-up impressively shows that passion and pain often go hand in hand.
The great surf film ‘Dark Side of the Lens’ by photographer and cameraman Mickey Smith, who lets us see surfing through his eyes in wonderfully aesthetic images, will also be shown. This is a real visual pleasure, which has been attracting countless fans on Youtube and Vimeo for some time now. A brand new perspective is also opened up by the mockumentary ‘The Majestic Plastic Bag’. It accompanies a plastic bag on its journey through the urban jungle all the way to its final destination: the big swirling rubbish dump in the Pacific Ocean.
The European Outdoor Film Tour 11/12 will be stopping off in eight European countries on 150 dates until mid-December. Find out more about the films, tickets and dates here. Highly recommended, even if you’re not an avid extreme sportsman or woman!
