In 2008 the popular and thus quickly sold-out "mono.kultur #15: Taryn Simon" issue of the independent Berlin-based interview magazine came out. A reprint had been in the pipeline for ages, and now the day has come: as of now you can buy "mono.edition #03: Taryn Simon" for 12 Euros from the online store www.mono-konsum.com.
It coincides perfectly with Simon's latest exhibition "A Living Man Declared Dead and Other Chapters", which is on till 1. January in Berlin's Neue Nationalgalerie. She spent four years travelling around the world documenting and researching various lives and destinies for the show, like those of the victims of genocide in Bosnia or the suffering in India.
The new edition includes the previous issue as well as an interview addendum with Simon about her current work and 10 printed postcards with motifs from this work series.
