After the premiere in Montréal, Canada, the spectacular Jean Paul Gaultier retrospective is making a stop at the Texan Dallas Museum of Art (DMA) next. This is a first for the museum, as it will be showing contemporary fashion in an art context for the first time.
The interactive exhibition has two important additions: the legendary black dress with breast prostheses, which Victoria Abril wore in her role as trash-TV reporter in Pedro Almodovar's cult film 'Kika', as well as a leather JPG Kelly corset from the Hermès pret-a-porter H/W collection 2004-05.
The Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition will be on until the 12th February 2012 when it will move to the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco before moving over the pond to Madrid and Rotterdam.
