Tomorrow evening the Düsseldorf district of Flingern will be rolling out the red carpet and inviting visitors to a pre-Christmas shopping spree and cultural events. One of the highlights is Cologne-based visual artist, illustrator and self-taught photographer André Kniekamp, who will be exhibiting his 'Strandfotografien' (beach photographs) at Langbrett, the specialist surf and skate store in the Ackerstr.113.
The shots, which were taken with old analogue cameras, show a selection of European surfing beaches. Without any Photoshop antics and instead with plenty of honest grain. Kelly Slater isn't visible either. The Photo Solo Show starts at 7pm and will be on until 31.12 of this year. Our tip of the day!
