In this history-steeped old building you can admire urban art and modern street-art. Here, in the city's former mint, where once the Reichsmark and more recently the Euro were minted, the walls are now adorned with Berlin's art: the Circleculture Gallery is showing work by Xoooox, Stefan Strumbel, Katrin Fridriks, Stohead and Jaybo Monk and from 14 January until 29 February 2012 will be a guest at the Alte Münze in Berlin-Mitte.
The exhibition showing large-format pieces in Xoooox's typical delicate and illustrative style and the renowned "art urbain" by Monk, who was born in France, will be opened with a vernissage on 14 January. And at the same time, Berlin's former mint is also hosting the fashion and lifestyle tradeshow Capsule on 19 and 20 January. Capsule stands for contemporary luxury and streetwear labels and independent designers. The list of exhibitors this time includes Naked & Famous Denim, Levi's Made & Crafted, Topman, Wood Wood and Lonely Hearts.
During the Circleculture exhibition you can also dine at the pop-up restaurant "Pret A Diner" on the ground floor of the building or enjoy evening drinks at the "Cookies Cage" club.
Information regarding registration for the vernissage and the opening times of the event can be found on the websites circleculture-magazine.com and capsuleshow.com/berlin
