Three guest cooks are demonstrating their designer know-how in the ‘The Denim-Kitchen’ of the Turkish jeans label Mavi at the current Bread & Butter, and, together with the trade fair visitors, are developing the ultimate denim look. The artists Superblast and Anton Unai were invited along, as well as stylist and editor Linda Ehrl, to air their secret recipes and celebrate a new taste experience in jeans.
The denim artworks by the Berlin-based graphic designer Superblast are kept pretty minimalist in colour and form. The Spanish action artist Anton Unai, who is currently also exhibiting in the Galllery Circle Culture – takes his characteristic route of experimental improvisation, first mixing colours in a food processor, before covering large areas with it. The action is really popular amongst the visitors at the Bread & Butter. Spraying, painting, hammering, gluing, tearing and collage is going on at the kitchen tables. Today Anton Unai and Linda Ehrl will be showing off their denim cooking skills for the last time. It's a chance not to be missed!
