A nice idea that, up until now, has only caught on in the capital city, from the Berlin designer scouts: on Friday 26. August at the 'Skyy Swap Market' in the former city baths in Oderberger Strasse you can swap favourite pieces for next to nothing.
Beforehand you should clean out your own wardrobe and drop your excess clothing at XVII* dix-sept in the Steinstrasse 17 or in the Kauf Dich Glücklich branch on Kastanienallee 54. These will then be graded and swapped for Jetons, with which you can then swap to your heart's content, accompanied by the DJ tunes of Jeannel, Vladimir Karaleev, Isabell Polak and Hugo Capablanca.
Admission is by guest list only or with a VVK ticket. Get registered under www.designerscouts.com/skyyswap. You'll also find more information on the event there. By the way, all profits from the event go to the charity Berliner Aidshilfe e.V. Here's hoping the idea will spawn copycat events nationwide.
When: Friday, 26. August 2011 - Swapping from 9pm / Party from 11pm
Where: Stadtbad Oderberger, Oderberger Str. 57-59, 10435 Berlin
