'Love your way' is the motto of 'The Brandery Winter 2012' trade fair, taking place from 27. until 29. January next year, on the grounds of the Fira de Barcelona. Just as with the last event in July, the trade fair is divided into two sections: the 'Trade Show' only for professional visitors and 'Brandtown' for fashion, music and art interested customers.
Perhaps it was with them and smaller owner-run businesses in mind that the organisers scheduled the Brandery to take place on a weekend this time. From Friday to Sunday, there will be fashion shows, exhibitions and concerts.
Large crowds will be a sure thing thanks to the legendary Sónar Festival. The line up will no doubt be full of surprises too. Last time there were live performances from crowd-pullers like Ladytron, Nouvelle Vague, Hercules & Love Affair. A nice side effect: this way, the exhibitors can get to know their target groups even better.
And it almost goes without saying that in a city that lives and breathes design, there are plenty of public events planned. At the moment there is a competition for Christmas decor for Spanish retailers. More events will follow!
