Ladies and gentlemen, we are proudly presenting the all-new J'N'C. To celebrate the upcoming 15-year anniversary we've optimised our magazine, not only in terms of the content but also from a visual perspective!
Bigger, better and more opulent: J'N'C now not only offers more space for our extended 'City Specials', for unconventional fashion shoots, the latest in streetwear trends and interesting stores all over the globe, but also for new columns like 'The Masterpieces'. This is where we will take an in-depth look at products that have what it takes to become real classics. Exciting label portraits and interviews with key players in the industry can be found under 'Brands & Brains' whilst in our concise and compact 'Bits & Pieces' we will be bringing you up to speed on the newest products on the market

.... if you're going to San Francisco:

This time our quest to discover the world's most exciting fashion metropolises takes us across the big pond – to San Francisco to be exact: the birthplace of the blue jean and home to Levi Strauss. J'N'C spoke not only with Levi's Head of Design Miles Johnson, but we also visited the newly opened Levi's store on Market Street, and met up with the creative heads of the artists' collective The Thing Quarterly, which collaborated with Levi's on a revolutionary campaign project this August.

Back in Europe we headed straight for Newcastle, where Nigel Cabourn, the icon of the heritage fashion movement, welcomed us into his studio, a former garden house – together with Agnes Kemeny who is responsible for the design of the recently launched womenswear line of the British label.

And that's not all:

"Simplicity and concentration on the core elements – in my eyes, definitely a trend." Richard Martin, Brand Director at Lyle & Scott, about the double legacy of the British sportswear/manufactory label, about golf, tennis and Birmingham – and planned collaborations with high-fashion designers.

"Customers need advice when they buy a pair of trousers – and this requires sales assistants who can really take care of them." Marco Lanowy, co-owner and director of Alberto, on 90 years of expertise in trousers from Mönchengladbach.

"We are really pleased to have found Äsa Göransson and Fredrik Blank as our new heads of design." With the label Freeman T. Porter Pascal Muller and Hendrik Schimmel are starting a new chapter on the German-speaking market.

Plus:

In our Denmark special Franziska Klün and Fredericke Winkler take a closer look at the allure of Scandinavian fashion – whether by mbyM, Sand, Won Hundred, Hummel or Aiayu.

Just before the hectic tradeshow phase kicks off J'N'C is providing you with an overview of the most important events – from Berlin via Amsterdam and Paris all the way to Copenhagen and London ...

... which is also where 'The Content Store', one of the retail highlights we'll be introducing you to, can be found. Not to mention our detours to Tokyo and Miami ...

.... and we will be taking you to the beach twice with our fashion shoots!

Curious?
