What was the biggest success for you in planning the event and in the final execution?
For us the biggest success was to see how everyone came together in Amsterdam and even more important, how the whole denim industry (production, brands, retail and consumers) worked together during this week.
Everyone, from press to international consumers, from producers to brands where so enthusiastic. The vibe was just so good!
What was the highlight of Amsterdam Denim Days for you?
I'm especially proud of the diversity of the total programme of Amsterdam Denim Days, for business as well as for onsumers. We celebrated the official opening of the unique project Denim City and hosted a wonderful premiere of the movie Blue Gold on Wednesday-eve. I also found the seminar ‘Kingpins 2029, The Transformers’ very interesting and we had a blast celebrating the second edition of the two-day denim festival Blueprint!
Did you discover any new, young brands?
Oh, it's very hard to pick, there were so many! I was especially fond of the Curated Denim Store. There where many young and upcoming cool brands but also the big denim brands presented themselves in a totally new and impressive way. Chapeau! And let’s not forget the denim producers like ISKO, Candiani and Jeanologia. This was the first time for them to make the connection with consumers and they did a very good job!
Which feedback did you receive from visitors and exhibitors?
Everyone was telling me that the event had the exact right vibe: enthusiastic and positive! Amsterdam was breathing denim!
Anything that could be done better in the future?
We hope to grow with this event in the next couple of years, with even more activities in the City Center and an extended Blueprint!
