In the coming days, all eyes are on London, where the best athletes in the world compete against each other at the Olympics 2012. But do not all the athletes deserve so much attention?
This is without doubt! Therefore the U.S. sports giant Nike begins the "Find Your Greatness' campaign, in order to motivate all athletes - whether recreational or elite athletes- to perform at their peak. For this purpose, athletes around the world can share their personal bests and other success factors through using the hashtags #findgreatness on Twitter.
Through various 'missions ', the digital system Nike + wants to encourage people worldwide to more physical activity. This includes for example the "Greatness Is Ours" campaign that has the goal to make 12 August the most active day of all time. Those who participate in the ,mission ', can upload their achievements and successes on Nike + Fuelstream, an online stream of images and user comments.
As of today, a film on the "Find Your Greatness" campaign will be broadcasted in 32 countries and on television. The film shows amateur athletes around the world at trainings, competitions or games: true size cannot be determined - each athlete achieves his personal experiences and defines success by himself.
