The topics of ecology and sustainability appear to be massively hyped on the fashion circuit, but when taking a closer look, most of the products sporting badges of sustainability turn out to be purely marketing-motivated shams, whose only purpose is an image optimisation. Things are very different when it comes to the Southern German natural cosmetics pioneer Dr. Hauschka.
The company not only takes its organic mission very seriously but has been collaborating with young fashion and designer labels for quite a while now. The most recent collabo product is a multifunctional hair/arm band made of vegetable-tanned salmon leather created together with the Berlin Eco high fashion brand Mikenke and available as of now in a limited edition of 500 at selected Dr. Hauschka partners as well as via the ecoshowroom website. And on top of that, all sales profits are being donated to the Eurhythmy project ‘What moves you?’
