Visitors to Berlin’s Galeries Lafayette department store can look forward to a generous Christmas helping of fashionable, cultural and culinary treats from the Canadian region of Québec. Under the motto “tradition meets modern” you will be able to immerse yourself in the ‘savoir-vivre de Québec’ from 8pm tonight.

The J'N'C network is expanding: from now on our former office trainee Tana-Maria Schächtele will be reporting from fashion capital number one, "Fashion is treated as cultural heritage in France", the 25-year-old tells us.

Ten African artists were commissioned by the sports and lifestyle label from Herzogenaurach, Germany to design football kits for their home teams, inspired by the history and culture of each country. And the result is impressive! A stylised African baobab tree, hand drawn waves or animals of prey adorn the strips, which are a breath of fresh air for the sport.

Artist duo Sarah Cooper and Nina Gorfer travelled through rural Kyrgyzstan and brought back not only countless photos, but also a collection of myths and legends. The results of this journey, documented in photos, will be on show at the Gestalten Space in Berlin until 27 November.
