Alice in Wonderland meets Shaft in the A/W 2011-12 collection by Spanish shoe label Chie Mihara. The shoe designer with Japanese roots took her inspiration from the gangster-style gentlemen’s shoes from the early seventies and designed models made from shiny leather, with straight Cuban heel and pure linear details.

’Senses’ is the name of the Michalsky iPhone app that has been available to download since January. Unlike the majority of regular brand apps, which don’t have much to offer beyond the usual shop finders and product information, the Michalsky smartphone aims to entertain. ‘Senses’ is a digital exhibition to go, a compilation of artworks from different epochs and cultures, which appeal to all five senses.

In 1972, Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, grandson of the Porsche founder and designer of the classic automobile Porsche 911, established the luxury label Porsche Design with which he has made his very own mark on a whole generation of design enthusiasts. Listen up sneaker fans! Two days ago we presented you with news about the superb virtual sneaker archive Sneakerpedia. So if that whet your appetite for further trainer treasures then we recommend you attend the opening of the Cologne Sneakermuseum this Saturday. From 7pm at Jülicher Strasse 14 in Cologne's Belgischen Viertel (Belgian Quarter), the premiere exhibition 'The Dunk- celebrating colours and creativity' will be honouring the über-sneaker 'Nike Dunk' with soft drinks, beer and cupcakes. By the way, the string-pullers of this project are 'The Good Will Out' duo Oliver Burmann and Alexander Imiela. Definitely a date for your diary!

From tomorrow until the 11th June you can do exactly that as part of the exhibition ‘Chic Chic Chic, c‘est picnic’ in the boutique belonging to French street fashion label Sessun in the Rue de Charonne. Here it’s really all about picnics: not just tartan blankets, straw hats, straw bags and dresses but also swimwear and even nostalgic jam jars have been decorated with Liberty print flower patterns.
