Vintage meets furs and fine wool, matte olive tones are highlighted with shiny accents. The Munich-based label Marlino is well known for its high quality jackets produced in traditional Italian weaving mills, and is presenting unique one-offs for the autumn/winter 2012 that look like they have been bleached by the sun.

Old school heroes as sticker pop culture: the "Post-it-war" is a new fad of pixellated computer figures from the eighties, which – created out of brightly coloured post-its – adorn the glass façades of large office blocks. A charming idea from France, which not only German urban cowboys have copied. Floris van Bommel has even succeeded in transporting the post-it artwork from the window – literally – onto the street.

It is certainly tempting but really somewhat simplistic to call Montreal the Paris of North America. Despite the fact that the residents of the capital city of Quebec have just as much savoir-vivre as their former compatriots on the Seine, they really do dance to a different beat despite their common language. Italian denim and casualwear brand Replay has now opened a flagship store at Hysan Place – in the heart of Hong Kong. While the architecture of the 120 m² store very much draws its inspiration from the clarity of the Bauhaus style and is distinguished by its square-shaped window fronts, the design of the interior is a lot closer to nature.
