Journalism graduates Isabelle Braun and Lena Grossmüller from the AMD Academy of Fashion & Design made precisely this democratisation of the fashion world the subject of their final thesis. The Düsseldorf-based vinyl toy specialists at Toykio are setting up their tents in the well-reputed NRW Forum for a few months. The first TOYKIO x NRW Forum pop-up store will be home to a fine selection of vinyl toys, amongst them the DIY series from Munnyworld as well as art, with an emphasis on photography and street art. The store opening will be celebrated tonight with a live-customising session with some of the DIY toys.
More boutiques, new locations: from last year, the French jeans label Marithé + Francois Girbaud is also available in Biarritz, Toulouse and in the department store BHV in Beirut. In December 2011 the denim classic also opened a 200 m2 shop in Stuttgart. But that's not all: in addition, this February 2012, they are adding projects in Amiens, Grenoble and two stores in China together with new business partners.
